Up to 540 mile with 50,000' climbing! Shorter routes are available. Each rider can choose their own goals. $45 entry includes ROUTE MAPS, a great souvenir BBT SHIRT, a FREE PICNIC IN THE PARK, Energy drinks/bars and more. Join us in FRISCO, COLORADO! This ride is based out of the Snowshoe Motel in downtown Frisco. All rides start from here. You must make your own arrangements for accommodations. Lodging facilities will be added to this site soon. The UPnBACK tour offers a unique opportunity to sample Rocky Mountain cycling without getting caught too far from "home". You'll cycle several classic mountain passes (Loveland Pass, the bike trail over Vail Pass, Hoosier Pass & more) for a vacation oriented week of cycling. We will provide maps and post our routes at our headquarters in the SnowShoe Motel. We will attempt to match daily rides with the most favorable weather/wind conditions. (although as a cyclist, I have come to accept headwinds in both directions!) We return each afternoon to Frisco, so no daily pack and move hassles!
Because this tour is designed for each person to follow their individual tastes, and whether you'd like to 'take a rest day' to shop at the nearby outlet stores, or hike, or go horseback riding or rafting instead of cycling. This tour is a nice change of pace from the usual week-long bike tours--there are bike paths that wind through the woods and around the lake, Because Frisco is so conveniently located to both Vail and Breckenridge, you have the opportunity to go into one of those towns for a nice dinner if you want to expand your exploraton a bit. For those mountain bike enthusiasts, bring it along and enjoy the bountiful and beautiful single track and trails in the area.
We provide energy drinks, bars & snacks at the start of every day, route sheets, maps and ride profiles to help you decide how far out you get before heading "BACK". We will also list information on services and sights you can expect along the route. We will be providing some size-limited sag service for the longest day, or in an emergency situation if you should run into trouble. See us in Frisco for details.
